viewfinder/audio question

was shooting with an r today and noticed my line feed from the board was stronger than my wirless feed.
i can boost it in post, but on my dsr300, they would both be the same.shooting auto on the audio setting.
noticed some audio settings in menu, but not sure on what to adjust there.

on vf/lcd, lcd is clearly better to focus with . on tripod, will be alittle tricky panning/tilting etc, using it, in that its so much easier when you have your eye against the vf.

any ideas other than just practicing to get it down?
does the hoodman loupe simulate the vf well enough to make up for not using vf, which i cant understand why its not so great , compared to the lcd. you would have thought that sony would have made the vf more useable.
