Well, it's a sad day. I spent months developing the absolute best kit for my Canon 7D and today I've put it up for sale. As the first owner of a 7D powered cage (Vincent had the first 5D version, and I literally had to pry this one out of Curt's hands!), this package helped to inspire Curt's use of CineLocks, the lengths of cables used, and how/where things were mounted to his groundbreaking Contineo 7D Powered Cage. Since our initial collaborations, the cage was upgraded to the newer boards, spacing, etc. and assembled into the kit seen below.
Included with the cage and all the accessories is my BlackMagic HDMI to HDSDI converter, pre-drilled and locked to the cage with a CineLock. Plus a custom top-handle for the cage (using an old RED One handle and an aluminum block to modify the spacing for the cage). Plus backup power cables for the cage's DTAP to LEMO power, the converter's power, and two cage to XLR adapters (I used them with my 7" Marshall) monitor). And finally, a medium Noga Arm for monitor mounting.
You're getting a fantastic deal - everything you need to professionally kit out your 7D at a great price, considering the cost of everything new (listed below). Save yourself the time and money - grab this pre-packaged kit. Reason for selling? Upgraded cameras and would hate to see another filmmaker in our community not be able to make use of the gear!
