One question:

I shoot on DVX100A, edit on Vegas, burn DVD in Vegas too.

So, If I shoot in 24P and burn a DVD with my film - will they (in Europe) be able to watch my movie on their DVD players?

I believe that most Pal DVD players will also read NTSC recorded material. However, i do not live there so I can't tell you first hand.

Re: view NTSC DVD in Europe!

true.. most DVD players are capable of playing both formats. though you must specify "PAL" when authoring a DVD who attend to play on PAL monitors... (regardless to the actual footage / timeline format you've edited) !

Re: view NTSC DVD in Europe!

Well, I've tried real hard to investigate this, and the answers are never clear. Here's what I recall:

1) Most PAL players will play NTSC DVDs... BUT THEY"LL OUTPUT AN NTSC SIGNAL! So the TV must be NTSC capable.

2) Many NEWER PAL TVs will handle an NTSC signal.

so, if the folks have a PAL DVD player and TV that can handle NTSC, you're OK.

3) Computers play everything.

4) So, for safety - author a PAL version

Note that I don't know anything about 24p specifically...
