1.3 times transfer speed card to drives - thought it was around 8 times...

But... 1.3x what? Or 8x what? 1.3x per gigabyte? 8x recorded minutes? (i.e., 45 minutes on the card, transferred in 6 minutes?) If you think about it the right way, they're both saying the same thing. 1.3x faster than a gig a minute would be about 8 gigs transferred in 6 minutes, right? Or 45 minutes on the card transferred at 8 minutes of footage for each minute of transfer time, = 8 gb in about 6 minutes.

So let's ignore the whole concept of "8x realtime" or whatever and just answer this one specific question: how long does it take to offload a card? On my SZ340, using the ExpressCard slot, an 8GB card took about 4:20 to transfer.
