Video use with the Nikon WU-1a WiFi module

ok, so I'm reading about the WU-1a WiFi module and how it will work with the new d5200... and here is my question...
can we use this module in video mode so that we could hand our phones to the director and have them use it as a monitor as we are shooting or is this only for still images that have been taken???

im interested in the same thing with my new d600 and the WU-1b. From what i have read that is exactly what you can do. You get live video (albeit with a slight lag) over wifi. The question i have is does this work over a wifi router or strictly ad hoc networks between two devices? Ideally it could work both ways so in the studio i could have my video village in another room and then in the field i could use my tablet and cell phones as an ad hoc setup

If you check out the reviews there it looks like it will not stream live video at a reasonable framerate. It also says that when the wireless video is running you lose the ability to adjust the camera at all. You can't adjust it via the app nor can you physically adjust your shutter speed and other settings. Its possible these things could change with an update or a new app but for now im not buying it.

well that is a disappointment but i kinda assumed it to be that way or I feel like everyone in the video world would be talking about it

Working with just video, are there any practical uses that would be interesting using the WU-1A with your camera and Smart Phone and Ipad. Trying to justify the 60$ price of the WU-1A? I don't want to download pictures, or use it as a toy, I hope you could see maybe exact color and crop on your Ipad that you will see on your video.
What are your thoughts.
