Video Tutorial

coming soon....it has to be done.

Sounds like a good idea. I downloaded the firmware and ptool tonight with the thought of modding my GH1 but can't figure out how to input the settings for the AVCHD video bitrates into ptool. The initial patches (battery, recording limit, etc.) are simple enough, but there is really no clue as to how you get the video bitrates set. The ABCDE buttons at the bottom of the ptool window don't appear to do anything. Are these only for the "advanced" testers? Is it just a case of typing in the various bitrate settings and ignoring the ABCDE buttons? What are the so-called A -setting (or B or C) bitrates to actually enter in?

All I really want to do is up the AVCHD 1080p bitrate to about 30Mbps to hopefully get rid of most of the mud that is VERY evident as compared to 720p mode. As it is I believe that 720p is fine so don't want to touch that, but I would like to shoot some holiday footage in 1080p in 3 weeks time and would like to impliment the hack before then to see if it will make much difference to the original muddy 1080 footage or not. I have no desire to go for massive bitrate increases and currently have a couple of Class 6 cards and don't intend buying into Class 10 if I can avoid it.
