Just bought a new DVX 100A and would like to buy a dvd tutuorial to get me quick up to date with the new camera.
I found 2 DVD tutorial:
1) "Learn to Shoot Pro-Quality Digital Video Using the Panasonic AGDVX100 Camera" from Magnet Media.
http://www.digitalmediatraining.com/products/shoot/shootforthecut3.html
2) the other is from the dvx user website, "Birns & Sawyer Panasonic Tips, Tricks and Basic Operation DVD review"

Wich one do you prefer?
What's the best?
It seems to me they are both for dvx100, I have the dvx100A. Would it be worth for me to buy one of them?
Feedback are welcome.

thank you

marco

Do you know how long is the video from Magnet Media?

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

21 min. Michael Rosenblum "Shooting for the cut"
25 min. Alex Meillier "Shooting with the Panasonic DVX100" Total 46 min. 8) I have the DVD It was one of the first things I bought about the camera. I 'll watch it again and let you know what I think. 8)

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

DMTS is a reputable training company for apple products and such. beats the heck out of taking a class for thousands of bucks.

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

Just watched it again. If your new to this camera and shooting in general it is a great place to start. If you looking for something more detailed like Steve Mullens guide this isn't it. I like it enough to keep it in my collection. 8)

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

i just received steve mullen's guide yesterday and i truly believe this is a must have guide for dvx owners. there is not one available for the 100a yet but steve said he's waiting on a 100a from panasonic to test out the new features. it costs $35. you can find it here:

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

:P I own both and can recommend neither, both very basic. you probably knew the stuff in this video before you bought the camera, I know I did. The only redeeming thing is that it does show some cool footage of the camera being used in the field with mattebox and other accessories. Nancy Schreiber is the D.P. of the film "November" in which the DVX is being used and its obvious that this woman who is an award winning cinematographer and whose work is mainly 35mm and 16mm is very excited about our little camera.

Re: Video tutorial for DVX 100

BTW, I was so disappointed in the DMTS DVD that I asked for my money back as per their money-back guarentee and 3 months later, nada. >:(

I just purchased this yesterday, but I have the 100A. There shouldn't be that big of a difference should there?
