Atleast she didn't say it was small.
But she was thinking that.....
I thought it was bad when I went from a BetaCam to an HVX200, heh, heh....
Now I just walk around with my 7D and a Nikon 300MM as my "backup".

Oh yes, forgot one thing. AF100 doesnt have a DSLR form factor.
But with the money for an AF100 you can buy three GH2s and shoot multicam.
I think it's pretty crazy that a 800 dollar camera produces the same image that a 4.7 K camera does.
You can buy two GH2s, a Sound Devices field mixer (600), two affordable lenses and it's still cheaper than an AF100.
Please Barry, tell me I'm wrong and the AF100 has a noticeably superior image over the GH2.
That is just FUD talk by older guys in the industry pissed off that their $20,000 "proper" video cameras are being stomped on by $1000 still cams that shoot video. But that's technology for you... look at the printing and recording industries.
And like what was mentioned earlier in this thread, the biggest selling point is price and the ability to buy 2 or 3 of these for the price of one AF-100. Multi-caming is amazing for narrative film-making and anyone who would sacrifice 2 cams for one with 5% better IQ is missing the point.
What real difference will there be?
As a future AF100 buyer I sort of expect the AF100 image quality to show some substancial improvement over the GH2.
I don't wanna start losing jobs because other guy shows up with two or three GH2s since they produce pretty much the same image.
And forget about moire and aliasing, I'm talking about real image superiority.
There is no such thing as a "proper" video camera anymore. That is just FUD talk by older guys in the industry pissed off that their $20,000 "proper" video cameras are being stomped on by $1000 still cams that shoot video.
Let the debate begin! I say image quality will be very very close. We can already see some prove of that.

Watch at 1080p and enjoy.

I don't even know where to begin on this one... so I'll just say, please be careful about speaking beyond your experience & technical expertise.
@mrmoonay
Breathtakingly ignorant post.
See, for me, that's what killed the AF-100 for me. I"m absolutely am hooked on the DSLR form factor now. I had to use a regular "proper" video camera the other day for a shoot and it disgusted me. It just felt archaic and obtrusive after using a 5D and 7D for over a year now. I love how the controls are right there... literally at my thumbs. I love how light they are on steady cams and rigs. I'm never going back to video camera unless the frame-rate is at 120fp and/or RAW video. There is no such thing as a "proper" video camera anymore. That is just FUD talk by older guys in the industry pissed off that their $20,000 "proper" video cameras are being stomped on by $1000 still cams that shoot video. The AF-100 and GH2 are both impressive cameras... but the size of the GH2 is just that much more impressive. Not to mention the 60i on the GH2 can be converted to progressive (with some after effects magic) and slowed down for some nice 1080p slo-mo.

Oh well, rant over. Again, AF-100 and GH2 are both very impressive. But DSLR is the future...
I can see moire right in your "proof"! Look at the roof on the right, next to the young family.
Likewise. You have no idea who I am or what my experience is. In fact, how do you know I'm not an older guy myself speaking of experience with my my colleagues?
I'm off my soapbox, and #12 in line at Full Compass. I am a happy camper.
