I shot my first video today and when I went to import it on my Imac the video played a little fast and the audio was normal. Is there some kind of settings to fix this? or is it my 16gb class 6 SDHC card? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just spoke with a b&h support guy. He said that I need to import from a program called mpeg streamlink. I will find the program. He said something about my codecs.

Are you using an older version of iMovie and are you on Leopard or Snow Leopard? When was the last time you updated iMovie? I'm not using iMovie (version 8.0.5 under Snow Leopard) much, but I know I can bring in my HMC40 footage in seamlessly, except for 24p stuff (FC can only do that directly, otherwise you can use Voltaic or something similar to transcode). That is interesting...

So... I'm almost all Mac over here. FC can take everything in from this camera, no problem. FCE and iMovie can take all but the 24p footage. That has to be transcoded first (if you are doing time lapse/interval shooting, you have to use 24p with the HMC40). In general, what the apps take in, they do seamlessly. But I have all of the latest updates, too. I don't think that the AVCHD updates for the Mac came in until the latter part of last year.

Wow, Im really confused now. It hasnt beed solved yet. gonna try loading it on windows 7. Now I need to use bootcamp and install my older SOny Vegas 8, Will let you guys know how it goes

I'm willing to bet that you were shooting 720/30p. VoltaicHD in normal conversion mode does exactly that same effect and it only happens on 720/30p. Use the "Quick Mode" and that doesn't happen, but it seems to jump over frames. Now use Toast 9 and the speed is normal, BUT the video is late by 11 frames.

If you shoot in 720/60p, that never happens.

I'm still searching for the best solution.

Yes sir you are correct bob. But I did not use any program but iMovie. I will shoot in 720/60 and let you know tomorrow. Thanks
