Video lens on 5D2

Hi to all.
I have recently bought a used 5D mark II as an upgrade from my 550D (T2i) and, as my EF-S lens are not compatible, I would like to get a versatile zoom lens to use alongside my EF 28mm/1.8
As I am on a tight budget the two lenses I have found are surely not the best around, but they seem to do the job. They are the Canon EF 28-105 3.5-4.5 USM and the Canon EF 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS USM.

From video point of view, which one is better and why?
I will also be using it for photography, obviously, but from what I have read online they are very similar in their photographic performance.

I have found the 28-105 for about 150€ and the 28-135 for about 250€.

Thank you very much in advance

I would seriously consider getting a little bit more money together and picking up a 24-105L. There are tons of them on the used market at all times, since people buy kits and dump the lens to save money. I've seen unused 24-105's pulled from kits in the $700 range.

I agree about the 24-105L. I was able to get one unused on Craigslist for $650. The IS is really useful for video and the constant aperture is great if you have to zoom in mid-shot.

If you get one of those cheeper zoom lenses, I feel it would really negate the improved image quality that you get from upgrading from the T2i to the 5D.

I'll echo others and say go for the 24-105 f/4. I also just upgraded from a T2i to 5d and that lens is a great all around lens. I think this is one of those situations where saving 300 or 400 bucks wont be worth it as you'll be disappointed with the results and end up buying the more expensive one later.
