Ok here is the problem.

I will be doing a video docuementary on extreme sports. I am going to be outputing this to TV, AVI, and DVD. So I figured that basic 24PA would be the way to go?

So I would guess that I shoot everything in 24PA? Also since most of the video will be of fast action and outdoors, should I even be thinking of 24p? or should I just stick with 60I.

Well I am just looking for suggetsions and any help would be great.
Thanks
A Nubie

Re: Video for TV and Internet/DVD

I have shot fast action on 24p and it looks great.. there definately is a little blur but It gives it that Warren Miller in the theater feeling...

The best thing to do is go out and do some test shots, and check it out for yourself.

Re: Video for TV and Internet/DVD

You can always look at 30p as a nice comprimise between motion resolution and vertical resolution with less blur. The progressive images will still look great on webvideo and DVD/TV.

Re: Video for TV and Internet/DVD

When I rented the DVX last week, I tested out 30p. Everything looks awesome, crisp, and clear, when played back on the computer. But when I play the timeline back to my NTSC monitor, I can see interlacing. Is there a way around this, or is it the nature of 30p when played back on an NTSC monitor?

Re: Video for TV and Internet/DVD

NTSC Tv's are interlaced... no way around it unless you buy a TFT or Plasma TV.
