Greetings,
Been reading and watching clips untill I am overloaded with info.
Keeps coming back to this question:
Almost EVERY video I watch in HD on Vimeo or (of course YouTube)
keeps stopping and reloading - It is maddening and extremely frustrating as I want to have the great majority of my future work on the Web.
Is it because the files are still so "thick" in HD? If so am I way better off shooting in Standard Def for Web? I have read that it is always better to start with "best" footage and down rez to SD. If so does that still add to the "re-loading" nightmare of watching video stopping over and over and over making it seriously unwatchable. I have a great DSL and recent computer.
Am I alone in this frustration?
Any thoughts would be appreciated as I am sold on GH1 for simple music video's with the cool DOF and all, however, if the picture is "too good" that I am going to have it constantly re-loading I have to find a better delivery system and any suggestions for consistently seamless playback on web would be a great help.
With thanks
