VIDEO CODEC IN P2 viewer ???

P2 Viewer perplexes me. here are a few questions. This could be very elementary but my curiosity has grown beyond me being concerned that I might look stupid by asking. Help Me out here.

1.) The Video Codec is always DV100_1080/59.94 or DV100_720/59.94p. WHy isn't the codec DVCPRO HD?

No matter what my settings in 720 (30, 24, 60) it always says DV100_720/59.94p EVEN in NATIVE MODE?

2.) Why can I only see the frame rate in the meta data when I am in a native mode. There is no mention of what VFR in over 60 modes. I would like to look at the meta and see if it was 24p or not. It shows the pull down so I can infer what the frame rate was but why not just tell me the frame rate like it does in native mode with VFR ratio?

Thanks

DV100 is another name for DVCPRO-HD. It just takes fewer letters.

DV25 = DV or DVCPRO. DV50 = DVCPRO50. DV100 = DVCPRO-HD.
