Video Capture Question

Hello,

My question is: if I shoot footage on the DVX, then take the tape and place it in a low end consumer minidv camera, will capturing this footage to my mac produce lower quality results than if I had simply used the DVX for the capture process?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Once it's on tape, it's all 1s an 0s. Digital is digital, through and through. There will be no adverse effects on your footage.

Nope- occasionally a cheaper camera will have dirty or out of alignment heads that might impede capturing. But the actual signal itself is digital and will be identical, as long as it can be played from the tape.
