Video camera for possible commercial venture

My first post here so go easy. My background is photography but I have a possible opportunity to do some commercial video work for aviation "in the cockpit" type DVDs. I currently have a Canon 1DmkIV HDSLR camera and of course the HD video quality is stunning but I really need full-time AF for the type of work I might be doing.

Just wondering what camcorders I should be looking at as I really have very little idea. I have looked at the Sony EX1R, EX3and NX5E. The NX5E is the cheapest and has lower cost recording media but how much worse is it on image quality?

I would requite the following of any camcorder:

Good low light quality - Aircraft cockpits are quite dark.
Wide angle lens - To get as much of the cockpit in as possible.
Good "ethnusiast" footage quality - What I mean is I don't really need something that is ok for say BBC HD as the work would be for good quality DVDs but sold to mainly enthusiasts and not for TV work.

Are the camcorders I mentioned above the right sort of thing or maybe they are overkill?

If anyone can give me any pointers on what camcorders I should look at that would be great.

A big concern would be how much vibration there will be in the cockpit. No camera likes vibration but especially CMOS based cameras.

Great little camera for super wide angle shots in full 1080HD is the GoPro for about $250.
Clamp up in a corner and you could get some spectacular shots. Designed primarily for underwater video, but is being used for all sorts of interesting stuff.

What is the image quality like with the GoPro?

You might want to check our their site: gopro.com The shots they have posted there are fantastic. I believe it's full 1080p HD. Can also buy it from REI and Amazon.
