VFR Assignable - Question for Panasonic

Recently got an AF101, in setting it up I couldn't find a way to do a couple of things,
1 - assign VFR activation to a User button
2 - assign Interval record to a User button
would be great if I could activate these with a User or Function button, coming from the HPX170 where I had quick access with the scene file dial and 50fps/2fps files loaded on its the only feature I really miss,
if it's not there, would it be possible in a firmware update? - I know Jan often looks at the boards so I'm hoping she could give me an answer,
Thanks!

I'm sure that I've never selected 'VFR On' on my AF101's menu's, but it always only a simple toggle away on the selector wheel at the back. That makes going to a varible shutter speed very fast, it's the resetting the exposure afterwards that takes a moment to do.
I take a great many timelapses but the interval record on this camera isn't great though. 1 sec increments mean it's better to dedicate another stills camera to that job.
