Very simple question about HVX outputs

Hi,

I am steadicaming on a film using an HVX+SGpro. I need to know what kind of video output the HVX has so I can bring the right cables and make sure i have all the bits i need.

I was wondering if the HVX has a 4 pole jack plug for the composite output same as the sony Z1 etc etc. If not, what does it have instead?

Thanks,

Pete.

composite out is regular rca jack. It also has an s-video out which can be adapted into an rca (my rca doesn't work anymore and I use a s-video to rca adapter). It also has a component output. Only one output works at one time.

Regards,
Shane

But you can use one of these?

Yeah I dont really care about component, my steadicam needs a composite, so all I need to know is weather it has one of those plugs in the picture I pasted earlier...

The HVX has both composite (red, yellow and white) RCA jacks and an S-video jack, so you can use standard male to female cables.

Edit - errr ... actually in your scenario it would be .... either "male to male" cables ...

OR ...

If you are using the mini-plug to plug into the monitor and the RCA jacks to go into the camcorder, then the cable pictured above WILL work.

Does anyone have a photo (or could take one) of these connections, and where abouts they are on the camera?
