SOLD VERY RARE FILTER SET of HARRISON 6x6 BLACK DOTS (TEXTURE SCREENS)

[George A.]

Hi!

I am selling a VERY RARE SET of HARRISON 6x6 BLACK DOTS (or TEXTURE SCREENS as they are sometimes called).
Very famous and almost impossible to find. Unique diffusion effect.
Experienced DPs know what I'm talking about!
I believe Mr. David Mullen also mentioned them on this forum a couple of times.

For additional information, check the two wonderful books THE MYSTERY OF FILTERS (by Harrison) and IMAGE CONTROL (by Gerald Hirschfeld).
As a quick example, I know that Alex Thomson, BSC used them extensively on "Excalibur".

The quick Harrison description below:

--------------------------------
The Black Dot Texture Screens are handcrafted, and sold in a wood storage box. Patented by Harrison & Harrison, these glass filters soften images without the whitish veil, retaining contrast as the degree of diffusion increases. An exposure compensation of approximately on stop is required for each filter, regardless of the degree of diffusion.
--------------------------------

Great four-filter set!

- BLACK DOT 1
- BLACK DOT 2
- BLACK DOT 3
- BLACK DOT 4

They come in their own original wooden case, as expected.

Price: $1,000 plus actual shipping to your location.
