Very old music video project...

This one's pretty old, was one of the first things I shot way back when I first got my DVX100a (which is now replaced with an HVX200). Thought I'd throw it up for kicks and grins. Nothing special, very casual music video for some dude who's sort of famous. Fairly good size file, 24MB, but fun. Not very polished, but it was fun.

But was it fun?

Ya -- should have masked the color grab a bit more... got some excess here and there.

Kept me watching (and I liked the tune).

Thanks

Yeah, the actual final cut used Shake to isolate the color. This old version was when we just did it with FCP's color corrector just as a preliminary. Very rough. Shake did a MUCH better job on it. And it was shot in two days, edited in two days, and for free, so, there you have it. To tell the truth, we were amazed at how much we could push FCP to do the isolation. I didn't think it was going to hold up so well. Not perfect, but better than I thought FCP's color corrector would do. The final version, I don't have a copy of, was done with Shake, and was MUCH more controlled.

Considering it's 80 per cent Gurilla Video, I don't think it's so bad. And I get to see Cowboy Mouth for free when ever they're in town.

Dress was a real dull red, shoes were worse, lighting sucked, it was a real trip to rush through. I didn't think it was going to work at all. But, there you have it.

And yea, it was a ton of fun to do. Especially since the client, so to speak, was getting this for free and left us alone. How many times does that ever happen on a job?
