Very good HVX vs HD100 article

I think you guys should try the little baby on the left here, the Kodak Fun Saver!! You get true 18P film like quality with 8 minutes of running time. The color rendition is FABULOUS. And the noise level is pretty acceptable if you use 40 ASA stock. The exposure settings are clearly marked on the front for ease of use (Bright Sun, Hazy, Cloudy etc) and you never have to worry about batteries. I hear they are still having issues with audio, however...

rofl...there is a lot of truth in the humor of this post.

And very well said icicle22

Also it is all relative. You could have recorded that same footage on the JVC with a barebone setup that can be had at B&H for $5099 with a free bag.

To do any of that with the HVX you would need the HVX with at least a P2 card or a laptop or some device added onto the base price. If you could get the HVX with a P2 card for $5700 (a NAB special I believe) you'd be spending 600 bucks more and still have no case.

The NAB deal comes with a case.

i dont like "hazy cloud" the DOF is too deep..... What settings do you use on your Funsaver?
