Very dumb question about the Anamorphic lens

Hello guys,
     I just bought Cinetactics' Matte Box and was trying to put it on over Panasonic's Anamorphic lens, but only one problem, I can't take it off. Could someone explain to me step by step how to remove the Anamorphic lens? I've been trying to but I'm afraid I might break it. Thanks in advance.

How long should we be unscrewing? We've read your post and it's not working.

..ok well the peice with the screw in threads on the adaptor is not bonded to the adaptor lense itself. it is like a bearing on the back of the lense which can spin around freely independently of the adaptor. the "mounting screw on the side of the lense is not a set screw which sets the lense onto the dvx moutning, it is a set screw which keeps the lense from spinning around the peice with the threads on the back of the adaptor. so in other words, if that screw isnt set tight enough, you just spinning the lense around the piece that is screwed into the dvx threading. that screw needs to hold the lense tight to that peice thats threaded in, so that when you turn the lense , the peice with the threads will turn too, and the lense will come unthreaded. its designed like that becuase you have to screw it on, but then be able to adjust the lense so that it is aligned right, without unscrewing it at all. so you need to tighten the screw more. should only be like 2 1/2 - 3 turns or so youll know when it starts to come unthreaded, youll feel it. once you get it off, take some time to look at the back when the screw is veryloose, and spin the threading..then tighten it and youll see how it works, if i havent explained it well enough already.

The stars must be aligned properly and the cosmos must be magnetically positioned and your girl has to be out of the house so you can scream.
