Very Confused ! Clips duplicated on my SDHC

I'm new to the EX! - but very confused none the less. I shot a dinner last night in HQ 1080/60i with an adapter card and a 32gb SDHC card. All went well during the shoot and no Media Errors. Upon uploading the shoot I find that every clip is duplicated - in it's own folder (i.e. if folder MV010 001 is clip 1 then MV010 002 is clip 1 repeated). First I thought I made a mistake uploading and copied the files twice - but their in their own folders and named squentially as coming off the camera.

Any clues - what happened? PS - if I download all the files on the card it runs for 3 hours and 25 minutes - yet I know that a 32GB card only records for approx 118 minutes in HQ 1080/60i. Also, I checked in Premier Pro - and it display the format recorded as 1920 X 1080 (1.00). What's up with this. Did the camera really record in SQ ? How do I figure this out ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you transferring files to your computer? The PROPER way is using Sony Clip Browser, which is free.

How are you loading your files into Premiere? Which version of Premiere do you have?

1920x1080 at a 1.00 ratio is correct for 1080/60i HQ footage. SP (not SQ) mode would have got you a file that's 1440x1080.

To double check your recording format, put your EX in playback/media mode. Go through the thumbnails and there will be a format label such as "HQ 1080/60i" displayed.

PLEASE read the manual before posting questions. Most of your answers will be found there. That isn't just a message for you, it's for anyone new to any piece of high tech equipment. Even though I have used dozens of high end cameras in my young life I STILL read camera manuals because they are all different in nuanced ways. A tapeless camera with hundreds of menu options and buttons...yeah, complicated. Read that f**king manual, as the saying goes! LOL.
