Dolly in zoom out is right.

That will give the feeling of space expanding out in front of you.

Dolly out zoom in will make the space compress.
 
yeah it was the scene inside the diner with Ray Liotta and Robert Dinero,they were feeling each other because they were'nt sure if Ray had been giving info to the police...lol sorry i loved the hell out of that shot, and that movie was effin great..lol
 
That Apocalypto dolly zoom was sloppy... They seemed to run out of zoom before the move was complete. I'm noticing the kind of thing more and more in movies... Never have before.

Everything was sloppy in that shot. I guess that's the charm of a B horror flick.

Have you seen the movie? It's not what I would call a horror movie at all. he is having a dream or something in this shot. Plotwise I liked the move but it was filmed with a 360 degree shutter. Didn't bug me too much though I know it did bug some.
