Does it have an effect like you're flying through the tunnel, or is it a stagnant image?

Find some video of a colonoscopy, create a loop, color correct ....blamo!
Or, you could find like a long dark tunnel. Film a nice frame on one side. Ride you bicycle! Then mirror that one side to the other? Like a duplicate split screen?
OR...you could build a tall tube with some fabric, surround it with some lights and lower your camera through it while you over crank?
Or you could do a cell animation loop like they did.....

Nevermind. Figured it out.
BTW, it's quite obvious they didn't do the tunnel effect with cell animation. My best guess it they attached a camera in the front of a boat and shot waves as they were moving through the water, streaked it, then divided it into strips and composited.
