Vertical Lines on Low-End TV's

Quick question here.

Been shooting with my DVX100A and on low-end TV's I notice more flicker and vibration on vertical lines than on the camera's LCD or viewfinder. Can I minimize this somehow? Or is this inherent with low-end TV's?

On the camera I have it set to "Thick" and have been shooting in 24p not advanced. I do not adjust the V Detail or Detail Level in general. If I do adjust to "Thin" will I see a difference on a more high end setup - same with the Detail configurations? Do most people shoot strictly on "Thin"?

I am assuming on higher end monitors or even flat digital CRT models the image will be closer to the camera's, true? Panning also seems to show this effect more on the low-end TV's.

thanks, all info appreciated
