The vertical bands are set, and don't move about or vary. So, aren't these in theory set values? Wouldn't it be possible to extract these set values from an image of the banding, and use them to subtract the banding from normal footage?
A little like an 'exclude' layer blending mode, for anyone who's used After Effects.
The challenge would be to get an image of the streaks, and ONLY the streaks, I suppose.
