I've had a GH1 over a year (I got it on release in the uk) and love it though I've always been bothered by the banding. I felt like mine was worse than others, I often saw in at ISO 400 when others seemed to say they didn't see it until 800 or higher.
I never really got proof though and in brighter light it wasn't a problem.
Now, though, I'm seeing it a lot more, even in correctcly exposed stuff at 100 ISO. A few things have changed. I've done the hack (superb), and I doubt the hack is causing it directly maybe the better quality makes it more obvious. Also, since hacking I'm using 1080 more. And I've been doing more pixel peeping to compare the different settings so maybe its partly psychological.
But is it also possible the banding in some cameras gets worse with time?
Has anyone else experienced this?
