Verlaine Scene Sneak. Redrock M2

Technically I see lotsa blown highlights but even so - this is enticing. Blown his aside - Love it - wanna see more.
 
I really don't see the blown out parts as a mistake, more as a shooting style, and I like it!
Just take "Dexter" (the series) as an example, they have a lot blown skies, windows, even reflections on shirts, and it fits in just fine =)

Was this the old redrock or the encore?

Thank you. This was the M2 encore. It was style choice in that we couldn't afford to silk up the side of the house. So YES it's a style choice. :)
 
I thought this was really well done. Lot's of tension. It's refreshing to see something without the handheld jello look of an HDSLR.
 
Who is the actor - seen him in a few other productions here and there?
 
Mark Rolston. He was in Shawshank, the Departed, Aliens and a bunch of other ones. But the girl in the scene is Kodi Kitchen and she pretty much stole the whole movie.

Hopefully we'll get to release the trailer soon.

Very true! It seems no one cares about the jello from hdslr now. I can't stand it personally and see as a big distracting element. Any pro hdv camera with good dof adapter kicks hdslr ass. I still miss my XHA1 and brevis. Very nice short. The highlights are OK to me (quite high dynamic range scene).
 
I wasn't concerned about the look. The scene was extremely tense. Good acting, good script (so rare). I still feel tense. Hope your movie holds up to expectations.
