VEGAS wont see my HDV!

Kia ora folks,

Connecting JVC 101 via firewire to a PC running VEGAS 6. (FCP system out on hire!)

Connecting camera for HDV work - Vegas runs internal capture - kind of sees it (it says it is connected to SOMETHING at least), I do everything it tells me to do, but all it tells me is that the camera is "unloaded" on a blue back-ground. All controls on screen are greyed out. I play the tape on the camera - no change. I unplug camera and it tells me that the device is disconnected...YAY. :thumbsup:

Using camera as just a DV device - Vegas runs external capture program - sees camera and works quite happily.

I'm a mac user so I can't say for sure, but.... I've heard that you need an add-on called ConnectHD, or version 6 of Vegas.
If you already have those, then it is possible that they just haven't been updated yet for use with the HD100. You should check the support sites.
