Vegas Pro 9 questions

I've just uploaded my mp4 to vimeo and when you stream it it makes a right mess of it - heavy break up of elements within the shot at times. The downloaded file plays fine, but streaming it is not good: http://www.vimeo.com/13905692

Better get on with some work now but will have a try with the settings you suggest and take a look at your vids later. Thanks Chris.

Well I tried the sort of settings you suggested, Chris.

The .wmv for the 60 secs was 60mb. It played fine in Windows Media Player and vlc, but when I uploaded it to Vimeo it again suffered from unacceptable image breakup during streaming playback.

It would be great if you could post a screen-grab of the exact settings you suggest in Sony Vegas, as I had to make a few guesses as to what you meant.

Thanks.

I've been used to editing in HDV for years so my transition to the horrors of AVCHD used by the GH1 has taken a while.
With a reasonable pc and Sony Vegas Pro 9 I have now found my best workflow is to render and edit within the mxf format. The rendering is quicker than any other full HD such as mpegs such as m2ts, and there is no stuttering whatsoever while editing ... I'm delighted at last. Even all my media players play it faultlessly.
I have even found coulour depth options to 4 2 2 with this format although of course the file size grows three times. So, has anyone found any downside to rendering to Sony mxf, am I missing an obvious problem with this rendering to *.mxf ?
