in reading http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=177526 <~~this thread, which is just getting going, i'm curious. since i don't require much of what the "real" Sony Vegas is good for, other than titling (which is a letdown throughout Sony's line)...i'm trying to get confirmation on whether or not the cheapo Vegas Platinum Pro 9 i'm using provides true 24p (23.976 fps) editing as it pertains to the Canon xh-a1. Canon, using it's proprietary 24F.
In Platinum pro 9 , i always have the option of 23.976, as i am led to believe 24p is, and what the A1 records as, when in 24F mode. my rendered footage looks good and smooth and as film-like as the A1 seems to be. but the aforementioned thread had me questioning whether or not it's done on a "real" 24p timeline, as i've chosen to do within the parameters of Platinum. Is Vegas Platinum's 24p (23.976) timeline not true? Someone enlighten me.
Thanks
Chris
