Vegas motionblur test.

Re: Vegas motionblur test.

Very nice motion blur in the first clip! Care to share exactly what you did and how you did it?

Re: Vegas motionblur test.

Great effect, but I have a question (Im new to Vegas). I read the help file about adding a motion blur, and it says simply right click on the track and select add envelope > motion blur. But when I do all that, the only envelopes to add are composite level and fade to color. Am I missing somthing?

Re: Vegas motionblur test.

Yep, you need to go to "view" and add "video bus" or something like that. Then you right click on THAT track, and it'll have the option for supersampling and for motion blur.

I'm going to ad my name to the list of people who just keep getting more and more impressed with Vegas as I learn more and more about it . . .

Re: Vegas motionblur test.

Exactly as Barry said. Go to "view", select "Video Bus track". Then right click that. It gives envelopes for supersampling and motion blur. On the running clip I also increased the speed by clicking and holding the right edge of the track, then pressing "ctrl", and dragging the edge all the way to the left. This increases the velocity envelope values by 4, thus giving you up to 1200% speed increase. I added motion blur of about 80%, and brought supersampling all the way up for that clip. For the flite test, I just jumped into the air like a dork with the camera running, and then selected the one frame at the apex of each jump, then added supersampling (again at max) to the whole clip. Next time I will add some motion blur to that as well.
