Vegas is a terrible name for a NLE

Why the heck is Vegas named Vegas and what the hell does Vegas have to do with editing video? I could see if it was gambling or prostitution software, but not video editing!

Reminds me of Macromedia Fireworks and Discreet Cleaner... WTF?

All that aside, I just got Vegas and I think it's going to kick Premiere's ass!

I dont care that much but the name is a big thing. LOL. yeah i get what you mean, but fireworks is just like painting the sky and it fits, and cleaner is just like cleaning your video quality up how you want...
so it fits!

I don't think it's "Video Editing..." because Vegas was at its first versions an audio only software ;)

Ok, that was random. Nevermind.

I still think Vegas is a cool name, though, appropriate or not.

I'm just glad they put more time and effort in writing the software than naming it. I purchaced Vegas because of it's 24P editing and flawless interaction with DVD Architect. Logos and names can only go so far in describing a product.
You got a look deeper some times.

Exactly, I remember years ago when I was first going to buy Premiere and I saw Vegas and laughed. Seriously, I just didn't take it seriously. It just sounds so cheesy.

I've only been using it for a few days now and I've already got the hang of it. It slaughters Premiere... Adobe just needs to give up on competing with FCP, Vegas, and Flash... I remember falling for Adobe Livemotion because I trusted the Adobe name. They ended up selling that program for like a hundred bucks.

Finally, now I realize that any givin company usually specializes in one or two programs. If you buy all your software from the same company, some of it's going to suck.

get this true story.. I won Vegas in Vegas at the Vegas 5 Release in the Vegas Paris. Ha ha..

And to think of it, the first time I saw Vegas was at Nab a buncha years ago in vegas. Hooked me ever since.

I was watching a movie once and on the film the clock read (Cant remember time) and on my wall it read the same.

Yeah, I know. Not that exciting.
