I have a major problem at the moment.
First of all I should break down my two shooting setups:
When I shoot on the DVX100 (tape) I edit in imovie of course it is on my Mac Powerbook G4 laptop - which has worked great for me from short films to weddings.
When I shoot on the HVX200A (using P2 card) I edit in Vegas Pro 8.0a on my HP laptop.
Okay now for the major problem. I shot a wedding last week using my HVX200 instead of the DVX100 and instead of shooting on a P2 card I used tapes.
When I play the tape back in the camera it looks GREAT but when I downloaded it into imovie it plays very jumpy. If you watch it on a big screen you would get motion sickness.
So now I’m thinking that the pull down isn’t working in imovie to make it smooth so I might have to move it to Vegas Pro to see if it can fix it.
Okay here is the big question – My Vegas is set up with Raylight and the P2 card so will I find myself in trouble if I hook the camera up to Vegas and download the footage from tape instead of P2 card? Will that change any of my editing system? Or do I download the footage onto my desktop and how is that done? I hope I made sense here?
