Vegas from Acamedic Superstore?

[krish]

Hi, I am thinking about buying Sony Vegas 6 from www.acamedicsuperstore.com. How is this site? Also the version of software, is it exactly the same as the pro version?

Would appreciate any info.

Thanks,

Krish,

We got our academic version of Sony Vegas 6 from www.needsoftware.com. The AcademicSuperStore looks fine, but we've had no experience with them.

As far as I know, the academic version is exactly the same as the pro version (the version we got anyway).

One thing to consider... I wished we had got the Vegas 6 + DVD instead. I would rather be using that version for DVD burning at this time and I would like to render for AC-3 surround.

Best of luck to you.

The only difference is the price.

I got mine from there, as well as the sound effects series. They are great and fast!

A+

Vegas with DVD

Vegas with DVD

I have to agree, the DVD software that comes with the Vegas 6.0 pack is simply amazing! I have never had a single problem with it and the options are endless!

I have been using them for years, they are very good and quick

I've never shopped at Needsoftware, but I've used Academic Superstore on several occasions. All purchases were very good experiences with fast shipping. If you are a student/educator, I would highly reccomend them. Their free shipping is nice too.

I too would reccomend Vegas+DVD over Vegas alone. The AC3 5.1 rendering and DVD Architect application are both great resources.

Also, the search tools is a great resource on this site. I only mention it because this very topic has come up several times before (specifically in the Vegas section) so doing a search may have helped you get your questions answered faster.
