The good folks at Sony have offered to sponsor a Vegas 5 contest :)

The requirements will be you need to download the TRIAL version of Vegas 5 (if you havnt already) and create a 30 second clip demonstrating the new features of Vegas 5. I will choose the winner, and the winner will recieved a spanking new Box of Vegas 5+DVD directly from Sony :) :) :)

I will get a page together with the details, but thought I would give you guys a little heads up to begin.

oh, man.  I just bought and downloaded my vegas 5+dvd last night.  Figures, just my luck ???

Hi Jarred,

Do you have the details on the Vegas competition? Some of us are anxiously waiting. I would love a copy of Vegas 5. Is it going to be the June contest? That might be best to get a lot of participation.

Yes its going to be June contest.. the rough details are in the first post, so you can get started, I just am going to make a seperate page so it stands out a little more.

What I would really like to know is if we can use video and images created in other programs (photoshop, etc.) or just generated media available available in Vegas? Would hate to get started on something only to find that it does fit within the limits set for the contest.

yes.. you can use whatever you want, just try and use some of the new features of Vegas 5.. its a very loose contest, If you dont know us here at DVXuser yet we dont really play ball like the rest of em :)
