Vegas 4.0a question

Hi all,

I am considering vegas as alternative nle ( I use AP 6.5 until now )
However, the local store sell the Vegas 4.0 a only
Does it have difference with other versions (  b - e )?

once you buy A, you can download the updates (currently e) for free.

I see it is a 40 MB download , not possible to upgrade since I have only 28.8 kbps max :(

I will see other alternative

Your best bet might be to contact Sony directly to see if they'll send you a copy of the latest version on a CD.

Thanks folks,
As for the update, can I use downloaded file from other users?
Say someone download it and use it to update his vegas, Can I use this dowloaded files ?

But to answer your question; yes you can use the same executable file that someone else downloaded. It's exactly the same as most all software installers-- as long as you've got your own, unique, serial number, it doesn't matter whos CD you use to install your software, they're all the same.
