Vdub

Anyone know what setting I'd use to export back out? I keep getting file sizes in the 3gig range?

I'm using a de-noiser in Vdub

okay apparently, i don't know what i'm talking about. if you use vdub for anything, what's a good output to use if you're editing in premiere pro/ae?

i thought the ffdshow mjpeg was a viable solution, but i'm losing some information when outputting. i've tried just about all of them, but i think i'm missing something.

If you export it the way you got it, you'd compress it again, and lose information. Nothing spectacular about that. If you don't want to lose anything, then you've got to use lossless or uncompressed.

I'm not breaking your balls, this is video 101. Go look at the file sizes of video cameras that shoot uncompressed (btw Uncompressed 1080 HD is ~480GB per hour)

wich output codec if you use FINAL CUT 2 for editing and grading?
i want to use neatvideo with virtualdub before everything .

Huffyuv for sure. Huge files but much smaller than uncompressed, and completely lossless. Works in fcp too using perian, which is now mac gamma compatible.
