look good. Do you ship to Singapore.
Can you let me know if you have any distributor in Singapore ?

Thanks
Sam

Tom, that's a nice looking unit. I really like your products and your company.
Just 3 weeks ago I had planned to come back from NAB with a new crane pruchase like yours. But due to a huge job, I just threw over $16,000 at a new TriCaster set-up. Hopefully I'll make enough with our new TriCaster that I can cut you a check and get a crane from you soon.
I'll be stopping by to see it at NAB. Keep up the good work.

I'm still waiting for the paint to dry.

I'm sure we will have some up shortly after NAB probably from the NAB floor. Have not even added web page for product yet. Really giving the DVXUSER group a first look.

Footage?

wow, that is one mean looking jib. Wonder when that thing will be around in montreal to rent.

Tom,

We love our EZFX / MC100 / Varizoom controllers set-up. What specifications can you publish now on it? Will it get me to the magic 20' to lens number all my clients ask for?

You know it is really close. I am making a new very stout crane tripod that on a dolly it will be very close to the 20' height.

As long as we're on the subject...

Do you guys have any upgrade plans for the MC100? Perhaps some control throughput via slipring? :)

Dunno. I'm a big fan of the current configuration - though I still get some wind-up no matter how well we feed and dress our cables. Running HD monitoring from the MC100 isn't exactly a picnic with Canare 3-wire candy and power and lens control / confidence and on and on.

Looking at new products from that big jib company (no, not that one... the other one), I'm not totally sold on their HD remote head. I mean, the camera is still limited by the tether in more ways than the MC100 with the dual pass-throughs.

Also, I've had several discussions with one of your guys about other controller options. For instance... wheels. Remote head wheels would be really, really, really nice. Seems like you guys could get wheels done very easily.

Tell us what to do Tom and it will be done.

Erik,

Sorry for such a late reply. Swamped with NAB.

MC100 does not need an upgrade. It is a great reliable product that does what it does at a great price. I guess we could consider some add ons.

We do have some plans for new products and your input is always valued.

Ohh neto I'v been looking for one of those. What's the length.

$10,000?!? *cough* Excuse me but isn't an 18ft Jimmy jib lite about 8k? The JJ even has it's own battery. What's going on varizoom. Can your jib take bigger cams? is it longer?

I am sorry for being so rude. I have been waiting for an economical "real" jib for some time now. And I was hoping this was the ticket.

Andrew if you want an inexpensive jib just remember if it fails it could kill someone. It has to be sound and well made if you are going to swing overhead. Our new SnapCrane is super tough and I did not know what it cost to make until I was done making 20 of them. I spared no expense and cut no corners for the concern I mentioned above.

The SnapCrane is super quick to assemble and includes wheel dolly, tripod, zoom control and remote head. It can be configured to make elevations of approximate 6', 8', 13', 17.5'

We got many compliments and sales at NAB from people that looked at everything available. I am confident the price is reasonable for such a high quality product. So it's "real" It's just not real cheap.

I am sorry. I am sure it is a fine peice of gear and I didn't it was porrly built. I meant that an industry standard JimmyJib Lite has sinilar specs and is little cheaper.

Don't get me wrong here I already have a bunch of your lens controllers.

No worries at all Andrew. I just don't know that it is cheaper because I don't know what is included with others.. I just know our boom is well made and goes together quick and easy.

I also have some redundant safety features that I think are important especially for a rental house where people can sometimes skip over the instructions. I think I have a thousand dollars in aircraft pins and stainless steel screws and safety locks per jib. It adds up quick..

Thanks for the input.

Tom

Yeah I was going to comment on the quick pull pins holding the head on there. That is awesome. No more killing your wrist screwing bolts on for a half an hour while the crew waits! I just wish you had a dutch roll feature. That is what is pushing my purchase price up another $20 grand. Apparently it's not easy to engineer a dutch roll system.

I can make that. What size camera?

We actually don't get alot of requests for that.
