SCIFEST DVD finally out

Thanks Jarrad

I ordered these while half asleep at 3 in the morning, maybe I forgot to provide some pertinent information.

Well we found the first blooper on the DVD.. film #10 (Ian's) plays #2 again.. a bad link. Ians film can still be found in the DVD-ROM section, but not from the DVD menu. Damnit :(

My favorite accomplishment for my short film was the honor of being in the top ten alongside such other great films! I was bummed that all of you other film-makers who purchased the Sci-Fest DVD won't get to see my short in full DVD-rez glory.

But before I could dwell too long in the bad news, good news came along.

"Dead Inside" Has been accepted into the Season Two film festival at The Independent Film Forum, and into The Indie Gathering Film Festival. For the latter my film placed 1st place in the category Sci-Fi Short, and will screen August 5th at 10pm in Screening room B.

I am still waiting to hear from a handful of other Festivals, but already my film has gone further than I thought it would go. This inspires me to keep at it, and double my efforts on my next project.

Thanks to everyone here in the DVXuser community for helping fellow film-makers like myself thrive.

yeah this really pissed me off. Ian, how about if I made a link for the people that bought the dvd's so they could download the full mpeg2 version and burn it to a dvd-r to watch it if they wanted too?

And congratts dude... your film was terrific.

I'd download it.

I enjoyed the film and congrats on the festival stuff.

I just got a big festival source book and am in the process of figuring out what to send where and when.

That would be awesome. :)

hey thanks

but you can already get IMDB if you've shown here:
http://imdb.com/company/co0177056/
because DVXuser.com is listed as a DVD distributer and DVX-SciFest is listed as a festival
but right now this
http://imdb.com/title/tt0790710/
is the only one taking advantage of it
Texas Fortune is listed on there too but not affiliated with DVXuser.

DVXuser Sci-Fest is the only DVX fest listed right now but that's just because "the man from hollywood" enetered it

I plan on entering all three of my films on there.

The IMDB requirement says that to qualify it must be of general public interest, which showing on DVXuser qualifies.

Also, there are tons of BS films on their that have never been screened outside of anyone's garage.

But entering them on my existing imdb page is on the to do list

Jarred, ordered/paid for a copy on 7/14/06. Still haven't gotten it. Are there any on back order, or should I have rec'd it by now?

Same for me, except I ordered/paid on 7/13...still patiently waiting. At least I have my new DVXUser t-shirt to pacify me in the meantime :)

Also, Jack thanks for the IMDB info...I just submitted my HeroFest entry referencing DVXUser.com [ca] as the distributor and DVXUser.com/HeroFest Festival (or something like that) as the festival. Now, I'll just have to wait and see if they get added.

Anyone out there that hasn't received their Sci-Fi DVD... please let me know and I will take care of it A.S.A.P. (Some have been stuck in our US Postal, will be talking to them today. And just incase I missed any!) Thanks! deb@dvxuser.com
