Sorry this isn't DVX news, but I couldn't think of a more appropriate place to post, feel free to move...
I am producing a shoot where we are shooting high-speed photography against a bluescreen. The job was originally bidded as a 35mm shoot at 120fps. This approach was definitely ideal but it exceeded our budget.
I have decided to go with the Varicam @ 60 fps because it's over $40k cheaper for a 1 day shoot. Budget-wise I'm *very* happy, however I am somewhat nevous because I have never shot 60fps on the Varicam for material to be keyed. Anyone have an experience shooting high-speed DVCPROHD video on a blue or greenscreen? The production company I'm using is highly confident in the approach, but I have heard from others in the industry it might not be the greatest idea.
I'd love to hear other opinions. Any expertise or experience would be much appreciated.
