Variable Zoom Controller for DVX

[kjcdude]

Anyone know of any good WELL PRICED variable zoom controls for the dvx.

I briefly searched b&h and the starting price for a decent one is around $200.

Thanks,
Kyle

Check out the Libec ZC-3DV: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=1889&A=details&Q=&sku=361366&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation
Not the most compact unit, but very versitile: Works with both Panasonic and LANC (Sony, Canon) cameras, the grip opens super wide to fit prety much anything you'd want to clamp to, the wire is detachable and the unit has 2 ports to plug into (for convenience).

I use one and love it.

Yes, I just got the Libec and it's really nice. Better than the on-camera zoom controller in some ways.

If you have a DVX100B (or HVX200) , about the only one that controls both the zoom and the iris/focus is the Varizoom VZ-Rock-PZFI for $259 at B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=413136&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

I got one - nice little unit - bolts right on the handle for the Manfrotto (or any) tripod - finger tip contol of zoom, iris and focus - pretty neat. Go to the Varizoom site to see a photo of the current unit - the photo on the B&H site is out of date (the focus wheel on the left of the unit is larger than they show)

I too recommend the Libec ZC-3DV. I have two and plan to order another. It's much cheaper at B&H than other places - only $109 plus shipping.
