hello all, i need big time help here.
Final Cut users might be able to help more than others:
i tried all the settings the dvx book and dvd offer for slow and fast motion but i can't get any of it to work.
40% 60i at 120 shutter speed looked very jerky and unuasable on a 24 frames per second timeline.
80% 30P at 30 fps wouldn't even play back on the monitor.
does it have to do what the timeline settings i use on FCP? all i tried switching was the frame rate, using both 24 and when that didn't work i tried 23.98, but neither one worked at all. using a 29.98 timeline worked but then the 60i footage looked just like video again.
it's gotta have something to do with my FCP settings right? what could be wrong on my camera that would make it do that? i can't figure it out, all i know is that my footage looks nothing like the example on the DVX dvd.
thanks for any help,
joey
