variable frame rate

Hi,

the HMC151 has no variable frame rate (as e.g. dvx200).
But you can record with 60fps and play back with 30fps to also get a nice slowmo.

What are the extra advantages of a variable frame rate.
i have searched but could not get a simple anwer.

Thanks for your answer!

regards, Carlo

Many more choices, many more looks. Plus, the N modes on the 200 allow you to record AS slo-mo, or fast-mo, and you don't have to do anything in post.

Like the HVX? You dont have to convert the footage... but there is hardly a difference if its done right...

You can convert 60p to 24p and it makes for very nice slow mo...

What do you mean with if its done right.

What is the workflow to correct convert the footage.

Furthermore why are there so much choices in variation of slowmo, it is also possible to choose within the software afterwards. Please help me on this!?

Thanks!

i am sorry I am a newbie on this matter.
