variable frame rate and avid

is there anyway i can get my overcranked or undercranked footage from my hvx to show up correctly in avid with the rest of my timeline?
 
i shot 720p/24p regular, timeline is 720p/59.98 and all my playback and cutting was fine, but any of my slo mo footage was all at regular speed...
 
Slomo works in a 23.976p timeline since the hightest frame rate is 59.94 that was being shot. Playing it back at the same speed does not create the slomo.

You can't shoot slo-mo in 720p/24p regular. Gotta use 720p/24pn and then edit on a 23.976 timeline.
