Vari ND?

[Mike Brent]

Are the Singh-Ray ($350) the only Vari ND on lens filter or are there other cheaper brands? Is there something cheaper out there that does the job as good?

Thanks

I bet you would...

There's the fader ND by lightcraft workshop. They sell them on eBay. The 72mm is about $100.

You could also DIY with a pair of linear polarizers (or a linear polarizer on top of a circular one). The results would be exactly the same, even if the contraption would not be as sexy to use.

I have the fader ND. Works very nice for only $100.
