For local pickup I also have box track that RigWheels used to sell, I've painted this black and created all the mounting parts to hang off two tripods. Way to complex to ship but if you can get to Western suburbs of Chicago I'll give you the entire kit for $100. Including cheese plates. Watch the video on the link above and they discuss box track.
I would say say the performance on this is "okay". Similar to what you could get with a Konova slider but over 8 feet. It's also not silent when doing fast moves. But if you have a studio or need big moves you may find it useful. I built this as an experiment and simply don't use it that much.
