This is the Sony VCT-U14. For $199 on Amazon, it's about the cheapest you can get. They also sell it at B&H, but they're closed for another week and it costs $20 more there. This is the one I use and it works well.

I like the Canon TA-100.

It is what I use for most mid size cams.

It works with all the manufacturers VCT-14 and it's own smaller lighter plate.

I grabbed one for my Tilta rig off ebay. Got it used for about $76 which is way cheaper than a brand new one. Just do a search on ebay for VCT-U14.

thanks guys, i probably just did not know the proper name for it...... but now looks like an ebay has a few nice deals! 99$ is not a high price!

What are you using to mount to the bottom of the AF100 for example?
As the Canon TA-100 upper mounts to the Canon cameras with 4 screws.

Thanks!

Dave

I make plate that adapts the 4 4mm screws to the 1/4"-20 and the 3/8" threaded holes in the bottom of the af100.

I also make a 15mm rail adapter that has the VCT-14 wedge built into it just for the AF100.
