GH4 V-Log in DVX 200 [Not a very good rap]

Here is a link to review of V-Log in the DVX-200 apparently Mathew Allard the reviewer wasn't that impressed by the lack of smooth highlight rolloff, and having to underexpose to not cause highlight clipping and thereby introducing noise into the image.
He doesn't sound biased or anything like that, and although his views are based on some non scientific tests, it seems like he has a definite point based on the video examples, however it appears that V-Log is a bit of a differently mapped log in the high areas, so Panansonic need to make this information available.
Anyway I hope the GH4 version (probably exactly the same) works a bit better than he is describing, also its interesting that none of the GH4 Beta V-Log users have mentioned this.
He does skin tone tests too..not a great result there either, its kind of taken the wind out of my sails a bit.
Anyway form your own views...heres the link

V-LOG-L = Servere case of sun burn!! GEE

Only thing I can think of is that the LUT is a bit off?
Saying that TheCameraStore videos filmed with a GH4 with V-LOG-L also to my eyes have a similar 'burned' look to skin tones.

Ha ha ha Yep Its a pretty sunburnt look for sure...I am sure the LUT is off...and I am sure it can be better than that, some of the flat images before LUTS are applied look pretty good.
Panny are doing themselves no favors tho, they should probably release their own LUTS that give a decent skin tone, as well as send out instructions to the Beta users, how V-Log is actually different from other Logs and how to set the right exposure to protect the highlights.etc...
