I do wish the UX180 had a place too put your thumb when hand holding. You don't have a natural place to put your thumb, perhaps making the space between the record button and the side of the camera a little larger so you could put your thumb there when shooting for more than a few minutes and not risk knocking yourself out of record. Something I was used to with my old EX1.
